Buckner's old horse farm is now an abandoned 10 acre plot in the middle of Muirfield Village with an old barn, rusted tractors and 1950s cars strangled by weeds. Muirfield Village is located in the Columbus suburb of Dublin, Ohio. Founded by Jack Nicklaus, and named after Muirfield, the world famous golf course in Scotland, the village contains the golf course that is home to the PGA Memorial Tournament. A statue of the Nicklaus showing a young lad where to hit the ball can be found along Muirfield Drive.
Land was purchased for the eventual Muirfield Golf Course in 1966, but construction didn't begin until 1972.
