King-Lincoln District, James Jackson. Some research indicates that James Jackson was the owner of the Empress Cinema in King-Lincoln, but this is not confirmed at this time. If you know who this person is, please comment on the photo.

James Albert "Al" Jackson was
James Albert "Al" Jackson was a feed store operator, located at 147 N. Champion Ave. His partner was James E. Williams and together they made money.
In 1920 they built the Empress Theater Building, Williams died in 1922, but with Ruby Williams, the widow, Al Jackson built the Ogden/Lincoln Theater in 1928, the Teresa Building and with John Logan he built the Jackson-Logan Apartment Building.
He lived at 120 N. Monroe Avenue and was a tribute to his community.
