A photo of one of Thomas Howard's bands performing at Jeffrey Mining and Manufacturing during the Christmas holidays, 1919. From left to right: Alonzo Campbell, drums, Clinton Morman, banjo, Eugene Anderson, piano, Owen Artist, violin and Leroy Jenkins, banjo.
Tom Howard was a bassist who booked several bands in the early part of the 1900s through 1930. He also had a restaurant in the East Market. Earliest records on Tom Howard are from the 1890s, when he managed the People's Orchestra.
