Franklin University's giant blue graduation cap called, "Commencing" hangs over E Rich Street.

"Commencing," a 7000 pound sculpture by Todd Slaughter was erected on April 12, 2003 over E. Rich Street to commemorate the 100th year of Franklin University. Picture was taken in 2006.
