Eddie Saunders was the dean of Columbus Broadcasters, on various radio stations form 1946 until his death in 1999. He was responsible for bringing rock and roll to Columbus via WVKO Radio where he was a longtime personality.
John Baker was an attorney and jazz film collector. He began acquiring films during World War Two and established the genre in 1951, when he traded films with a New York collector. In 1984 Baker logged all of his films and he had over six thousand Black music films and cartoons.
He sold his collection to the City of Kansas City, Missouri and retired to Bonita Springs, Florida. He is the subject of an Honors Thesis by Lisa Christine Rolland, the University of Arizona, May, 2007.
