Downtown YMCA cornerstone
The Columbus YMCA was founded on January 15, 1855, in a lecture room of the First Presbyterian Church at State and Third Streets, Columbus. A "new" Y was built on the corner of Front and Long Streets in 1921, and continues to serve the needs of the Columbus Downtown community and its surrounding neighborhoods.
