Corbin Saloon

Corbin Saloon on State St. after it was blown up in 1879 as part of the Westerville Whiskey Wars. Corbin’s Saloon after it was dynamited in 1879 as part of the Westerville Whiskey Wars, the “dry” community’s effort to keep Henry Corbin from operating a saloon in the community. Events made national news and the strong dry tradition in the community led the Anti-Saloon League to open a large printing center and move their headquarters to the village.
