1853 – Capital University moved to four acres at North High Street and Goodale Street, at stays at this location for 23 years. The building was large enough to serve as both a recitation hall and a dormitory.

Dr. Lincoln Goodale was on Capital University’s first board of trustees when it incorporated in 1850, and in the early 1850s he donated a four-acre tract of land located on the northwest corner of Goodale and High streets to Capital University.
