Central Ohio Lunatic Asylum, 682 E Broad St.

The building was completed November 10, 1839, and burned on November 18, 1868.

Columbus Metropolitan Library Reynoldsburg Branch, 1402 Brice Rd

Reynoldsburg Library, one of Columbus Metropolitan Library's regional branches, has grown with the community. Pictured here is the facility built in 1980, enlarged in 1989, and rededicated on April 29, 1990. The first branch opened at 7094 East Main Street 9/14/1964.

The new Engine House No. 18, 1630 Cleveland Ave, was dedicated on February 9, 2006.

The 2-story 21,614 square foot building cost $4.3 million. The House Captain at the time of the dedication was Steven B. Heselden.The final move of equipment into the station was made 4/10/2006. This fire station replaced the building at 1551 Cleveland Avenue which had been built in 1926.

Chemical House #1, 2105 W Broad St.

Black firefighters were relocated from the Oak Street Station when Chemical House No. 1 was completed in 1897. Operated 1897 to 1912.

Franklinton Post Office was organized July 1, 1803 and discontinued October 20, 1834. Built in 1807 by David Deardurff. Added to Columbus Register of Historic Properties 9/17/2001. See also: Columbus City Bulletin 9/22/2001 p. 1817; Columbus Dispatch 4/25/1992 p.1.
