Elementary school

Southwood Elementary, 1500 S. 4th St, in 1922.

Built in 1895, Southwood Elementary School is another David Riebel structure built in the Romanesque Revival Style.

Atcheson Elementary

Atcheson Elementary, 1894-1924, was named after prominent landowner Windsor Atcheson. Joyce Avenue was originally Atcheson Avenue. Address: 1771 Joyce Ave.

Groveport, Ohio, Elementary School, 2005

Groveport Elementary School, 2005. Built in 1923 at a cost of $225,000, the three story brick building housed all 12 grades until the mid-1950’s. In 2009, the school and the adjacent junior high were awarded placement on the Federal Register of Historic Places for their unique architecture.
